Ownership by All: Promoting Literacy Collaboration

Special and General Educational Professionals will learn about:

  • What's new in reading instructional strategies;
  • Collaborative roles for all educators in the IEP team process;
  • Supporting students with disabilities in the universal curriculum;
  • Literacy in classroom settings for students with complex communication needs;
  • Strategies for successful co- teaching and collaboration;
  • Strategies to assist students when behavior issues arise, evaluation, and more.

With 21 general and breakout sessions, time for networking with your peers and the DPI program consultants, there is something for everyone!

Who is the Targeted Audience?

Program Support Teachers (PSTs) may be any person whose job requirement includes training or providing professional development to staff at a school, district, CESA, or affiliated organization.

PSTs may attend as individuals; however teams of two-five colleagues (with a common goal of supporting literacy outcomes for students with IEPs) are encouraged to attend. Teams may include but are not limited to: reading teachers, general educators, interventionists, coaches, reading specialists, and ELA teachers.
