Coulee Region CORE invites parents who have a child who is differently abled to attend our FREE Inclusive Individualized Education Plan Training. Parents are welcome to attend whether your child attends school and already has an IEP, is enrolled in Birth to 3, or you are just concerned about your child meeting their developmental goals. Our goal is that parents gain education and confidence in the IEP process to foster positive relationships with the IEP team in order to achieve results that work for your child.

  • Training Led by Molly Murphy, Ph.D., co-author and facilitator of CORE Conversations. Molly is a special education teacher working at the Waisman Center who lives in Madison, WI.  She has joined with parents raising children with disabilities for more than 30 years.
  • Additional training materials pertinent to IEP’s for children who are D/dhh, Deafblind, or Deaf-Plus will be provided by Wisconsin Families for Hands & Voices.
  • Group discussion, based on CORE (Community Opportunity Relationships Enjoyment) Conversations will make the training as personalized as possible for your child’s needs. CORE Conversations are about inviting people to think with you about finding solutions and meeting needs in a different way; not just about the next service or another waiting list.
  • A FREE light lunch will be provided.
  • FFEE childcare will be provided during the training.
  • ASL interpreters will be provided during the training.
