The Wisconsin Sign Language Interpreter License from the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) was revised to include “mentoring” as an opportunity for interpreters to pass on their knowledge and experience to student interpreters or their peers. In response to this change in the license, to promote mentoring as a successful experience, and to offer career-specific continuing education for interpreters, “Mentorship Concepts in Educational Interpreting” was developed by Northcentral Technical College.

This course is worth 1 associate degree credit. Additionally, this course has been approved for 1.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) for all certified interpreters.

Class begins September 19, 2015 and ends November 22, 2015.
