Sign Song Dancers

The Wisconsin School for the Deaf’s Sign Song Dance Team is a performance group that includes deaf and hard of hearing high school students. These students travel to different public or private schools throughout the region/state performing dance choreography and signing American Sign Language to music. The group also includes PowerPoint presentations of WSD’s campus, staff, and students. In between each song the team offers a question and answer time with the audience. This question and answer time allows our students to teach hearing audiences about Deaf Culture and American Sign Language. The Sing Song Dance team is made up of a wide variety of students from all different cultures, hearing etiologies, and families. This team symbolizes the WSD student community!
